Medford A’s Throwback Game Kicks Off 2016 Schedule

 

The Medford Rogues are proud to release their most exciting promotional schedule yet, focusing on affordable family entertainment and community. 


Games will range from theme jerseys and fireworks, to highlighting community groups in the Rogue Valley. Returning fan fvorites from last year include Country Night, Military Appreciation, Christmas in July and Paint the Park Pink. This year’s promotional schedule features Grand Slam Saturdays, in which a different theme jersey will be worn each Saturday of the season. 


Opening Night, June 3 - Come out to Harry and David Field for your first look at your 2016 Rogues! It is Fill the Park Friday, so the Rogues will be announcing where to pick up free tickets for the night. 

A’s Throwback Night, June 4 - This year, the Rogues will be paying tribute to the Medford A’s, a minor league affiliate of the Oakland Athletics that called Medford home from 1979 to 1987. This will be a celebration of all former and current baseball teams of the Rogue Valley. The Rogues will be wearing special throwback A’s jerseys which will be available for purchase after the game. There will also be a fireworks night following the game.

SOU Night, June 15 - Southern Oregon University students and alumni will get in for free by showing their SOU ID. 

Country Night Presented by Q100.3, June 17 - Put on your 10 gallon hat and get your spurs out as the Rogues host their second country night. There will be mini ponies, flannel, country accents and more! Fans who dress the part will be able to enter to win 2 tickets to the Willamette Country Music Festival through Q100.3.

Star Wars, June 18 - Harry and David Field will be transformed into a galaxy far, far away for a night. The players will be donning special edition Star Wars jerseys and fans are invited to dress up as well. There will be a silent auction during the game for the game worn jerseys. To end the night, there will be a fireworks show to the tunes of Star Wars. 

Father’s Day, June 19 - The Rogues will be opening the park early for fathers and their children to enjoy a game of catch before the game. Rogues players will be on site to join in on the fun as well. All fathers in attendance will receive a free ticket to that night’s game.

Paint the Park Pink benefiting Leila J Einstein Breast Center, June 25 - The Rogues will be teaming up with Providence Health and Services for the second year in a row, turning Harry and David Field pink for a night. In addition to a supersized pink themed game night, the Medford Rogues will be wearing special edition pink jerseys to be auctioned off to raise additional funds for breast cancer research and awareness. A silent auction will take place during the game, so fans will be able to bid on the player’s game- worn jersey, and receive from the player after the game on the field. 

Red, White and Blue Night, July 1 - There is nothing more American than a baseball game and a hot dog! Come celebrate America with the Rogues wearing red, white and blue and there will be pie! The Red Cross will be on site for blood donation and each fan that donates blood will receive a free ticket to that night’s game. There will also be a fireworks show to end the night! 

Military Appreciation Night, July 9 - Join the Rogues in honoring all the servicemen and women that have served the United States on Military Appreciation Night. Veterans and all those currently serving in the military will receive a free ticket when they show their military ID at the box office. The Rogues will be wearing special camo jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game.

Christmas in July benefiting ACCESS, July 16 - Santa is coming to Medford...in July! Players will be wearing special edition, ugly Christmas sweater jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game, with proceeds going to ACCESS. Fans are also welcome to dress up and take pictures with our own “reindeer” among other winter characters that will be around the park. Fans will receive $1 off their ticket for every nonperishable food item they bring to donate to ACCESS.

Ladies Night, July 19 - The Rogues will be celebrating the women of Southern Oregon on this night by showcasing women owned and operated businesses in the Rogue Valley throughout the game. 

Great West League All-Star Game, July 25-26 - Medford will play host to the inaugural Great West League All-Star Game that will feature the top players in the GWL. The home run derby will take place on July 25 followed by the game on July 26.

Bark in the Park benefiting SO Humane, August 2 - Harry and David Field is going to the dogs as fans are invited to bring their pooches out to a game! The Seven Feathers Triple Play Patio will be turned into a ‘dog pound’ for dogs to cool off in pools and grab some water. A portion of all tickets will be donated to the SO Humane who will be on site as well. 

Rogue-lympics, August 9 - The Rogue Valley will be having their own version of those other summer games when the Rogues host Rogue-lympics. Contestants will compete in a variety of challenges throughout the game until a winner is crowned in the 7th inning. 


Days of the Week Promotions

Monday - Mystery Monday 

The Rogues will announce the proceeding Friday, what the theme for the Monday night game will be and how fans will be able to purchase $5 tickets.

Tuesday - Petro $2 Tuesday

Join the Rogues on Tuesday nights all summer with just $2 tickets thanks to our friends at Petro!

Wednesday - Rogue Credit Union Members

Rogue Credit Union members will get in for free when they show their RCU member card at the box office. 

Thursday - Thirsty Thursday 

Western Beverage and Pepsi are making sure everyone stays hydrated on Thursdays with $2 drinks!

Friday - Fill the Park Friday

The Rogues will announce at what businesses fans can pick up their free tickets for Friday’s game! 

Saturday - Theme Jersey Night

Every Saturday night, the Rogues will be wearing a theme jersey that will be auctioned off during the game. 


Single game tickets will go on sale for the entire 2016 season at 10am, Thursday May 5. The Rogues also offer two season flex packs including the All-Star Game. The Weekend Warrior Flex Pack includes access to all Friday, Saturday and Sunday games of the season and Grand Slam Saturdays Flex Pack includes tickets to all five Saturdays. Each pack includes tickets to the All-Star Game. Season tickets are also available and include the All-Star game. The Medford Rogues is a wood-bat collegiate summer baseball team headed into its fourth season; recently joining the Great West League.
