The Rogues are excited to announce the return of broadcaster, Emma Tiedemann to the air this season.

Tiedemann joined the team in 2015 as the voice of the Rogues, providing play-by-play for all 64 games including home and away. Tiedemann returns to launch the Rogues broadcast for the inaugural season in the new Great West League. She has also been awarded the honor to be the exclusive broadcast voice for the  All-Star Game, which will be heard in all six GWL markets and also online.

“The Rogues are ecstatic to welcome back Emma. She was an integral part of the 2015 team; going above and beyond the call of duty to support as needed.  It was an easy decision to expand her role with us this season. Not only is she a rising star in broadcasting but an invaluable asset to our front office team” says Acting General Manager, Carolyn Birch.

Along with broadcast duties, Tiedemann’s role has expanded to reflect managing roles in Communications, Media Relations, Community Partnerships and Director of Mascot Operations.  Special projects include the launch of the new Rogues app, website, the 2016 Souvenir Program and coordinating theme game elements.

In 2015, Tiedemann broadcasted over 60 games and launched an online video segment, ‘Gone Rogue with Tieds and Thor’ where she and Rogues’ intern, Colin Davis interviewed players about a variety of topics. Tiedemann also assisted in running the Rogues’ Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Tiedemann began broadcasting at age 15, for the University of Texas at Dallas. At UTD, she broadcasted men and women’s basketball, volleyball along with softball and baseball alongside her grandfather, and 65 year MLB and NFL veteran broadcaster, Bill Mercer. While attending the University of Missouri she called Mizzou games, adding football to her resume, most notably, the 2014 Cotton Bowl at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas when Missouri took down Oklahoma State. She also broadcasted and did production work for Mizzou Network.

Tiedemann is the first female broadcaster in the Great West League and shares that distinction in the West Coast League and Alaska Baseball League.

Tiedemann spent the 2014 summer as part of the broadcast duo for the Mat-Su Miners, a collegiate baseball team in the Alaska Baseball League, in Palmer, Alaska. She broadcasted both the ABL All-Star Game and the Top of the World Series when the Miners faced the Fairbanks Goldpanners.

Fans can tune into the broadcast for every home and away game this season online at www.medfordrogues.com.

Single game tickets are now on sale for the 2016 season! The Rogues also offer two season flex packs including the All-Star Game. The Weekend Warrior Flex Pack includes access to all Friday, Saturday and Sunday games of the season and Grand Slam Saturdays Flex Pack includes tickets to all five Saturdays. Each pack includes tickets to the All-Star Game. Tickets may be purchased by visiting Harry and David Field, by calling the office at (541) 973 2883 or online at www.medfordrogues.com.

The Medford Rogues is a wood-bat collegiate summer baseball team headed into its fourth season; recently joining the Great West League. The Great West League, entering into its inaugural season, is shaping up to be one of the premier summer collegiate wood bat leagues in North America, providing a professional, minor league baseball atmosphere for top college players seeking professional baseball careers, while providing affordable family entertainment and enriching the quality of life in its member communities.
