Rogues Take Final Three Games at Yuba City

MARYSVILLE, CA -- Behind a double-digit hit performance, the Medford Rogues (6-4) topped the Yuba City Bears (2-7) in their fourth and final meeting of the series at Colusa Casino Stadium, winning 9-3 on Thursday night.

 

Connor Lowrie (Blackhawk JC) had three RBI to pace the Rogues offense, including an RBI single in a three-run third inning for the Rogues.

 

Jake Gozzo (Bethune Cookman) hit a moonshot home run in the fourth inning, his first of the season. Two batters later, Josh Berman (Clark CC) hit his second home run of the year with a shot to left field.

 

Davis Delorefice (Utah) had two hits at the plate with an RBI, however, the biggest play of the night game on a slow-roller hit to Delorefice in the bottom of the eighth. Delorefice bare handed the baseball and fired on the run in time to get the Rogues out of a bases loaded jam.

 

The Rogues used five pitchers and had five strong innings from starter Jaiden France (San Jose State).
