MEDFORD, Ore. – The Medford Rogues battled back after trailing late in the game, to walk-off on the Portland Pickles (6-8) in the bottom of the ninth inning, winning 6-5 on Wednesday night at Harry & David Field.

Medford (9-5) led off the bottom of the ninth with a lead-off double from Clay Valenzuela-Reece (Campbellsville U.). Johnny DeLaCruz (UL-Monroe) put down the perfect bunt to the left side and not only advanced Valenzuela-Reece but he stood at first base with an infield single.

Alex Isola (Utah) was walked. Dante Gutierrez (San Diego) hit a fly ball to left center field, deep enough to score Valenzuela-Reece for the winning run.

Behind the plate, Isola threw out three runners, two trying to steal second base and another runner in the eighth inning dancing off of second base.

Davis Delorefice (Utah) had a monster evening at the plate. Delorefice went 3-4 with three runs scored, an RBI and a solo home run in the fourth inning.

Clay Valenzuela-Reece improves his hitting streak to ten games.

Connor Lowrie (Blackhawk JC) went 2-4 with a run.

Aaron Hutchinson (Lane CC) picked up his first win of the season after pitching a scoreless ninth inning with a strikeout.
