CHICO, Ca. – The Medford Rogues (16-7) drop game two to the Chico Heat (14-9) 5-3 on Friday night at Nettleton Stadium.
Alex Isola (Utah) went 1-3 with a walk and a run scored.
Jake Hellweg (Bethune Cookman) went 1-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
The Rogues scored all three of their runs in the fourth inning. Isola hit a one-out double to left-center field. Isola advanced to third on a wild pitch. Connor Lowrie (Blackhawk JC) walked, which brought up Jake Hellweg. Hellweg hit a single through the right side of the infield to score Isola. Josh Berman (Clark CC) singled home Lowrie, and then Braden Stutzman (Oregon) singled home Hellweg.
Peyton Fuller (Oregon) struck out four in 2.2 innings.
The loss snaps a 4 game win streak for the Rogues.
