LINCOLN, Ca. – The Medford Rogues (38-15) defeated the Lincoln Potters (33-20) 5-0 in seven innings on Saturday night at McBean Stadium behind a perfect game from Scotty Wright (Colorado Christian).

Wright struck out 14 Potters over seven perfect innings in his first career start. The game was shortened to seven innings because of the double-header played earlier in the day.

The Rogues scored the first run of the game in the second inning, when Johnny DeLaCruz (Louisiana Monroe) walked, reached second on a passed ball, reached third on a wild pitch, and came home on a throwin error by the Potters' catcher.

The Rogues loaded the bases in the third before Jake Hellweg (Bethune Cookman) walked home Alex Isola (Utah). Wright then struck out the side in the bottom of the inning.

Isola walked to lead off the fifth. He advanced to second on a wild pitch, and then to third on another wild pitch, and then came home on a balk.

Jake Hellweg walked later in the fifth, and came home on an fielding error on a ball hit by Connor Lowrie (Campbellsville).

Jayden Hanna (Lane CC) then singled home Lowrie for the fifth run of the game for the Rogues.

Scotty Wright came on in the seventh and struck out the side to finish the perfect game.
