Under a cloudy sky, the Medford Rogues and Marysville Gold Sox faced off in game three in a series split, 1-1. The Rogues were first to strike but strong plate appearances by the Gold Sox led them to a 12-1 win over Medford. The game was called after 7 1/2 innings due to rain. The Rogues record now sits at 6-3 on the season.

The Rogues plated the first run of the game off a lead off single by Derron Davis. Davis was brought in with an RBI by Jared Denning. Rogues bats went quiet after the first, while Gold Sox bats heated up. With strong sixth and eighth innings, and strong pitching, Marysville kept the Rogues at bay, winning 12-1.

Austin Crowson earned the start for Medford and went four innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs. He struck out two and walked one. Crowson got the loss. Justin Giovannoni earned the win for the Gold Sox, pitching 7 strong innings, striking out 4, and giving up just one run. His ERA now sits at 4.71.
Chad Bell was strong at the plate, going two-for-three with two singles. His batting average now is .241. Jared Denning went one-for-three and was responsible for bringing in the one for the Rogues. Denning is now batting .304 on the season.

The Rogues will next face the Chico Heat Friday night at 6:35pm. It is also Country Night presented by Q100.3 so the ballpark will be filled with country music and country gear. Each fan wearing country attire will be able to enter to win two tickets to the Bi-Mart Willamette Country Music Festival.
