MEDFORD, Ore. – The defending GWL Champion Medford Rogues have announced the signing of pitcher Liam Herlihy from Linfield College and Klamath Falls native Chase Fernlund from Feather River.

Fernlund was awarded OSAA All-State Player of the Year in 2016 while playing baseball for the Henley Hornets. Fernlund went to three state championships and won two while at Henley and pitched two no-hitters his senior year. He’s been on fire at the plate since joining Feather River. In 44 games played, Fernlund is batting .337 with 39 RBI and 44 runs scored, to go along with 15 extra base hits and seven stolen bases. He is also sporting a 23:18 BB:K ratio.

Herlihy has been hurling for the Linfield Wildcats. He has a 1.46 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 24.2 innings pitched. He’s allowed just two extra base hits all season. As a high schooler at Woodinville High, Herlihy received three letters in baseball, was named the team MVP his senior year, and earned KingCo Conference honorable mention honors.
