MEDFORD, Ore. – The defending GWL Champion Medford Rogues have announced the signing of former Chico Heat catcher Joe Bath. Bath currently plays for Feather River College but has committed to playing for Lewis-Clark State next season.

Bath has been an RBI machine for Feather River. He’s batting .333 and has 43 RBI in 43 games this season. He also has 30 runs scored and 15 stolen bases. Bath’s RBI total ranks 3rd in conference, and his stolen base total ranks 2nd overall in conference.

“My old teammates have been roasting me ever since the news broke,” said Bath. “But I can’t wait to be up in the Rogue Valley and play for another Great West League Championship. I can’t wait for the 29th. Go Rogues!”

“Last season, we had the three best catchers in the Great West League,” said Dave May, Rogues COO. “With the signings of catchers Joe Bath, Cole Elvis, and John Hawk, we expect to have the three best catchers in the League again this year.”
