Congratulations to former Medford Rogues players Parker Kelly, and Jackson Bertsch who were selected in the 2018 MLB draft.

Kelly was a pitcher for the Rogues in 2016, and was drafted in 20th Round by the St. Louis Cardinals.
In his time at the Rogues, Kelly pitched 32 innings and had a 3.09 ERA.  A junior from the University of Oregon, Parker was also drafted by the Cardinals in 2015 when they selected him in the 34th round, but chose to attend Oregon and improve his draft stock.  In 55 career games with Oregon he has a 5-0 record and a 3.81 ERA.

Bertsch was a pitcher for the Rogues in 2015, and was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 29th Round. When Jackson Bertsch played for the Rogues in 2015 he had 29 strikeouts over 11 games.  Bertsch attended Lane Community College where he went 6-3 with an ERA of 2.66 and struck out 52 batters over 54 innings in 2015 before transferring to Liberty University in 2016 where he sat out the year as a medical redshirt.  Bertsch mostly came out of the bullpen this season for the Flames, appearing in 21 games, only starting seven. He  led the team in ERA with 3.94 and strikeouts with 86.
