MEDFORD, Ore. – Over 1,000 people joined Rogues players and staff in honoring our Military with a heart-warming pre-game ceremony that included first pitches by Don Richie, Air Force Veteran, Harry Howard, WWII Veteran, and Chandra York, Iraq War Veteran, a motorcycle cavalcade by Rogue Valley Veterans and Community Outreach, a flyover during the national anthem, and military vehicles parked out front of the ballpark by the Medford National Guard.

Blake Baumgartner (UC San Diego) dropped an early bomb on the Chico Heat with a two-run home run in the first inning.

Chase Spinning (University of New Mexico) fired five innings of one hit, one run ball in relief, including six strikeouts, to pick up the win. He had retired 12 in a row before giving up a lead-off home run to Heat first baseman Joe DeBaca.

Rogues Head Coach Tyler Graham made his return to the dugout for the first time since Opening Night. Graham is the Director of Player Development for the Oregon State Beavers, and was with the team during their College World Series Championship run.

Tomorrow night is Beavers Night at Harry & David Field! Join the Rogues in celebrating the Oregon State Beavers’ 2018 College World Series Championship by wearing Beavers gear to the game tomorrow.

If you wear Beavers gear, you will receive a FREE TICKET to Beavers Night!

Medford native, former Medford Rogues All-Star starting pitcher, Great West League Champion, and now College World Series Champion Dylan Pearce, who pitched for the Beavers this fall, will make his return to Medford and will be throwing out the first pitch!
