Rogues Drop Game Two of GWL Playoffs

 Medford, Oregon - The Medford Rogues and Chico Heat met at Harry and David Field for game two of the Great West League Championship series after Medford took game one last night over Chico, 12-4. The Heat got to scoring early and often and took game two over Medford, 9-3. The deciding game three will be tomorrow night in Medford at 6:35pm.

The Rogues sprinkled runs in the third, fifth and eighth. Jayden Hanna brought in the first run of the game off an RBI single. Hanna had his second RBI single of the game in the fifth inning. Braden Stutzman brought in the final run of the game for Medford in the eighth inning off a RBI double. The Heat’s pitcher Luke Soroko led Chico with pitching a complete game, gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He struck out 7 and walked 3 batters.

DJ Wilson started on the mound for Medford and went 5 innings, gave up 8 runs on 5 hits. Tristan Duncan pitched the sixth and gave up 3 runs off of one hits and walked two. Boone Cesarez finished the game for the Rogues and pitched 3 innings, struck out 5 and gave up just 1 run.

At the plate, Jayden Hanna went 1-for-4 with an RBI. Braden Stutzman had a RBI double and went 1-for-4. Brock Pradere went 1-for-2 with a run scored.

The Rogues and Heat face off tomorrow night at Harry and David Field for deciding game three at 6:35pm.
