SAN BRUNO, Ca. – The Medford Rogues (26-10) fell to the San Francisco Seagulls (16-15) 8-3 on Tuesday night at San Bruno Park.

Seagulls starting pitcher Hayden Crowe kept the Rogues off-balance all night long. He scattered four hits over nine innings to pick up his second win of the year.

Weak contact and free bases in the bottom of the third inning undid things for Shady Cove native and Rogues starting pitcher Trae Perkins (Feather River College), who took the loss.

The Rogues first of the game came in the fourth inning when Omar Ortiz (Vanguard University) singled to left field. He was erased on an inning-ending double play the next at-bat.

The Rogues scored their first runs of the game in the top of the 9th inning beginning with Travis Danielson (Menlo College) hitting Caleb Broughton (Bucknell College) home, which was then followed by a two-run single by catcher Ryan Gamboa (Academy of Arts University). Despite the brief rally in the top of the 9th inning by the Rogues, the San Francisco Seagulls shut down the competition with the final score of 8-3.

Five bats were broken between the two clubs.
