Medford, Oregon - The Medford Rogues took down the Portland Pickles in game three at Harry and David Field, taking the first series of the 2016 season. The Rogues got on the board early with an RBI single in the first inning then Portland scored two runs in the sixth. Medford battled back with a late inning rally to beat the Pickles 8-3. 

The Rogues were first to strike in the first inning after Johnny Delacruz brought in Derron Davis with an RBI single. Portland tied it up in the fourth inning but Medford came roaring back with a rally in the eighth inning. Jared Denning opened the eighth with a lead-off triple then was joined on the basepath with Chad Bell and Corey Wynant. Derron Davis then drove in two runs with a 2-RBI single. The Rogues plated 5 runs in the 8th which was enough to lift the Rogues over the Pickles and secure the win and series. 

Austin Crowson earned his first start for the Rogues and was stellar through 5 innings. Crowson gave up 3 hits, no runs and struck out six. Ashland native, Jamie Flynn, came in relief and went two innings, gave up 2 runs, struck out 2 and walked two. Malik Evans got the win going 2 innings with one hit and walking two. Evans did not give up a run. 

Johnny Delacruz had another strong showing at the plate for Medford, reaching base in every plate appearance. Delacruz went 3-for-4 with 3 hits, 3 RBIs and one walk. Delacruz brought in the early runs of the game, setting the Rogues up for the rally in the 8th inning. Returner for the Rogues, Derron Davis, also had a successful night offensively, scoring three runs with 3 RBIs.

The Rogues hit the road for a three game series to face the Lodi Crushers, June 10-12. Medford first squares off with Lodi June 10 with first pitch at 7:05pm. The Rogues are back in action at Harry and David Field June 13 at 6:35pm.
