Rogues Continue to Crack Potters at McBean Josh McIntyre (Fullerton JC) went Article By: LINCOLN, Ca. -- A three-run home run in the third inning by Tommy Ahlstrom (Simpson University) set the tone for the Rogues, who defeated the Lincoln Potters 16-5 in Game One of the three-game series. The Rogues had 11 extra base hits, including an RBI double, an RBI triple, and a two-run home run by left fielder Josh McIntyre (Fullerton JC), who was a single shy of the cycle. Medford scored the first seven runs of the game before Potters’ cleanup hitter Brian Morley hit a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh to cut the Rogues lead to only three. But the Rogues responded with nine runs in the final two frames, punctuated by a six-run ninth. A local youth traveling softball team, the Land Sharks, held a 50/50 raffle to help them raise money to travel to Nationals. Rogues COO Dave May, who made the trip down to McBean Memorial Park, won the 50/50 raffle. He elected to donate the 50% of the raffle that he had won back to the Land Sharks.
