On another warm day in Marysville at Calusa Casino Stadium, the Medford Rogues and Marysville Gold Sox faced off in what turned out to be a pitching matchup for game three. The Rogues needed extra innings to plate the first and winning run of the game in the tenth and then were able to hold on to the 1-0 win in the tenth over the Marysville Gold Sox. Medford holds on to the number one spot in the Great West League with their 17-7 overall record.

Reece Green earned his fourth start of the summer for the Rogues and had a no hitter going until the fifth inning with two-outs. He was broken up with a single by Steven Mercado. Green stayed in to pitch the rest of the 9 innings giving up just 6 hits and no runs. He walked 1 batter and struck out 2. Connor Lowrie pitched the 10th inning, continuing to hold the Gold Sox scoreless and walked one batter and did not give up a hit.

At the plate, bats were quiet for the Rogues with just 2 hits on the night. David Bellamy singled in the fourth inning but then was caught stealing. Derron Davis brought in the winning run of the game in the top of the tenth inning with an RBI single, enabling Cam Russ to score.

The Rogues travel to Chico for the next three game series in California. The first game is tomorrow night at 6:35pm against the Heat who are currently fourth in the GWL.
