Rogues Destroy Pickles' Death Star

Medford, Oregon - On the planet of Harry and David Field in the galaxy of Medford, the Rogues took down the visiting Portland Pickles in game one of a three game series that will continue in the Portland galaxy tomorrow night. Led by strong pitching, the Rogues beat the Pickles, 7-1.

Scoring for the Rogues started in the first inning with a three-run inning. Connor Lowrie brought in the first run of the game with a sacrifice fly and then Johnny Delacruz brought in the second run with an RBI single. Connor McNally scored in the second inning off an RBI double by Delacruz. Parker Kelly had his second RBI of the night in the third inning bringing in Delacruz and then Kelly scored off a sacrifice fly by Brock Pradere. The Pickles scored their only run in the fourth inning off an RBI single by Andrew Garcia.

At the plate, Parker Kelly went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored, improving his average to .267. Connor McNally went 1-for-3 with two runs scored. Spencer Steer had another strong night at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored improving his batting average to .360.

On the mound, Kyle Robeniol earned his fourth win of the night and pitched 7 innings, gave up 1 run on 6 hits and had 9 strikeouts. He did not walk a batter and finished with a 1.65 ERA. Dylan Pearce pitched the final 2 innings and gave up just 1 hit and struck out 3 batters and a 3.13 ERA.

The Rogues head north to Portland tomorrow to finish the final two games of the season tomorrow and Saturday night. First pitch is at 6:35pm and the game can be heard live on www.medfordrogues.com
