Rogues Win in Walk Off Fashion Over Crushers

Medford, Oregon - The Medford Rogues won in walk off fashion again tonight at Harry and David Field over the Lodi Crushers, 5-4 in game one. The Rogues tied two franchise records, one for most stolen bases in a game with 8 and Connor McNally tied the club record for most stolen bases with 3. The Rogues’ now sit at an overall season record of 13-5. 

The Rogues plated the first two runs in the bottom of the first inning off of two sacrifice flies by Cam Russ and Johnny DeLaCruz. Lodi tied the game in the third inning with two runs of their own, off an RBI double by Casey Meyers and a RBI single by Gasberth Pacheco. Medford pulled ahead in the fourth with an RBI single by Derron Davis and extended the lead in the seventh. Leading by two heading into the eighth, Lodi tied the ballgame again with two more runs in the eighth. With the game knotted up at 4-runs each, the Rogues won in the bottom of the ninth off a sacrifice bunt by Cam Russ, bringing in Connor McNally to score the winning run of the game. 

Kyle Robeniol earne the start for the Rogues and pitched six inning for Medford, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits. He struck out six and walked one batter now with the ERA of 2.50. Tristain Duncan came in relief and went 1.2 innings with two strikeouts and a walk with a 2.70 ERA. C.J. Eytel pitched to two batters and gave up two runs on two hits. Parker Kelly finished the game pitching the final 1.1 innings, striking out 1 and giving up no runs on two hits. He now has a 5.4 ERA. 

At the plate, Connor McNally went 1-for-3 with three runs scored and three stolen bases, tying a franchise record for most stolen bases in a game. McNally is now batting .259. Brock Pradere was also strong at the plate going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and a .273 batting average. Derron Davis went two-for-three with two hits, an RBI and a run scored with a .322 batting average. 

The Rogues and Crushers face off again tomorrow night at 6:35pm at Harry and David Field for game two. It is Rogue Credit Union Night, and RCU members who show their debit or credit cards at the box office get in for free.
