MEDFORD, Ore. – The Medford Rogues (33-12) defeated the South Bay Storm (9-29) 9-4 on Friday evening at Harry & David Field.
The Rogues put together a two-out rally to score five in the first inning, highlighted by a two-RBI triple into the right field corner by Rogue Valley native Joe Johnson (Vanguard University).
Caleb Broughton (Bucknell University) doubled and scored on the RBI single by Omar Ortiz (Vanguard University). Maxx Mahon (Vanguard University) broke his bat on a flare that dropped into center field for a base hit. Ortiz and Mahon scored on the triple by Johnson.
The Rogues got two more in the bottom of the fifth inning on an RBI single by Johnson to score Ortiz and a ground rule double by Jesse Spangler (Presentation College), which scored Mahon.
In the bottom of the seventh, Devon Canty (Presentation College) and Turner Olson (Chico State) had back-to-back RBI singles to score Mahon and Canty, respectively.
Medford native Travis Danielson (Menlo College) picked up his second win of the season.

Saturday, July 20th is Christmas in July at Harry & David Field. Rogues players will be wearing special Christmas themed jerseys, which fans will be able to bid on during the game. Fans are encouraged to bring canned goods with them to the ballpark to donate to Access. Fans will receive $1 off the price of admissions for each canned good donated to Access. Proceeds from the jersey auction will also benefit Access.
