Rogues Break Record in Win

CHICO, Ca. – The Medford Rogues (28-11) defeated the Chico Heat (22-18) 5-4 on Thursday night at Nettleton Stadium.

Clay Valenzuela-Reece Campbellsville) led the game off with a single, which extended his hitting streak to 16 games, the longest hitting streak in Medford Rogues team history.

The Rogues loaded the bases in the top of the first inning for Johnny Delacruz (Louisiana-Monroe), who doubled to the left field wall. The hit cleared the bases; it sent home Valenzuela-Reece, Davis Delorefice (Utah), and Jake Hellweg (Bethune Cookman).

Eric Yang (UC Santa Barbara) then singled home DeLaCruz.

Alex Isola (Utah) hit a pop fly double in the fifth inning to score Delorefice from third base.

Jayden Hanna (Lane CC) went 3-3 in the game.

Starting pitcher Jaiden France (San Jose State) went five innings; he gave up four earned runs, struck out one, and earned the win.

Scotty Wright (Colorado Christian) pitched three innings in relief; he struck out five without allowing a hit or walk.

Taylor Frost (Southern Idaho) struck out the side in the ninth inning. He earned his sixth save of the year.
