Medford Falls in Game Three

Chico, California - The Medford Rogues and Chico Heat met at Nettleton Stadium for game three and the Rogues were unable to complete the comeback and fell 3-2 to the Heat. The Rogues’ record now sits at 17-9 overall and still #1 in the Great West League.

The Rogues struck first in the third inning after Derron Davis reached on a single. Davis scored on an error by the catcher. Leading 1-0, the Heat scored two runs in the fourth off a 2-run double by Daniel Schneeman. The Heat extended their lead in the sixth and led 3-1 going into the eighth inning. With the bases loaded in the eighth, the Rogues scored one after Brock Pradere was brought in after Connor Lowrie was hit by a pitch. The Rogues couldn’t plate anymore runs, leaving three on base and fell 3-2.

Dylan Pearce earned his second start of the summer and went the first five innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits, struck out 6 and walked 1. Chris Painter came in relief and finished the game with no runs on 1 hits, no walks and no strikeouts.

At the plate, Derron Davis went 1-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base. Brock Pradere also scored a run and had another stolen base. The Rogues lead the Great West League in stolen bases as a team.
