New team joins the league for 2026
On December 5, 2025 the Pacific Empire League (PEL) issued a press release with some big news, the league would be welcoming a new team, the Marysville Giants. In the press release Giants owner Ryan Larsen shared his excitement for his team’s next step. “Joining the Pacific Empire baseball League reflects our commitment to developing elite talent, competing with integrity, and fostering a culture of growth in the community, teamwork, and excellence throughout the summer season and beyond. We are truly excited to bring even more excitement to our community, which has such a rich baseball history.”
Formerly in the Bay Area Collegiate League, the Marysville Giants make their home at a newly renovated Bryant Field in downtown Marysville, which also serves as the home of the Yuba-Sutter Freebirds of the independent Pioneer League.
Some of the upgrades to Bryant Field include a professional grade clubhouse, padded outfield walls, and a new scoreboard.
Summer baseball teams are no strangers to playing at Bryant Field as it was the home of former opponent, the Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox.
