Kevin Olmstead Head Coach

Baseball Career: Before coaching at Reinhardt University in 2026 in Georgia, Olmstead served as an assistant baseball coach and recruiting coordinator at Oregon Tech. During his time with the Owls, he was involved with hitting while also working with the infielders, outfielders, and strength and conditioning program.

Olmstead played a key role in one of the most successful stretches in Oregon Tech baseball history. In 2023, he helped guide the Owls to their first Cascade Collegiate Conference regular season championship since the 1980s. In 2025, Oregon Tech set a program record with 39 wins and earned its first-ever appearance in the NAIA National Tournament.

Prior to Oregon Tech, Olmstead spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Lassen Community College, where he helped lead the Cougars to a 20-5 record before the 2020 season was cut short due to COVID-19.

A native of Grants Pass, Oregon, and graduate of North Valley High School, Olmstead also managed the Grants Pass Nuggets AAA American Legion program in 2024, leading the team to an appearance in the Oregon State Tournament and finishing 5th in the state.

Personal: Olmstead graduated from York University in Nebraska in 2018 with a degree in Business and later earned his master’s degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Sports Administration.
