MEDFORD, OR – The Medford Rogues win the exhibition game against the American Legion team, the Medford Mustangs, 5-1 on Thursday night. The scoring got going for the Rogues in the second inning with a home run from the Ashland native Jackson Rosenthal. It was a one-nothing lead for the Rogues after two innings. Medford plated four runs in the fourth inning. Diego Grabriel and Jonathan Walsh recorded doubles in the inning to push the Rogues ahead five nothing. The Mustangs scored their lone run in the fifth inning. The Rogues sent out four arms in the game against the Mustangs. Forest Zelmer got the start and went four innings on the hill, giving up two hits and no runs. Austin Vaughan, Matt Ibrahim Junior, and Evan Rhoden each had an inning on the hill and gave up one run in total. The Rogues begin a three-game set against the Redmond Dudes starting tomorrow at 6:35 p.m. The game tomorrow marks the first fireworks show of the season sponsored by Rockwell Real Estate.
