Medford walks it off for the first time this season

Medford, ORE — The Medford Rogues take game 1 of the series and walked it off against the West Coast Kings 8-7 on Tuesday at Harry and David Field. The West Coast Kings struck first leading two nothing in the second inning. The Rogues plated their first run of the night from an RBI fielder’s choice from Evan Saito, driving in Larsen Koester. Medford took the lead with a three-run frame in the fifth inning. Larsen Koester record a two run ground rule double. The Kings scored twice in the sixth inning. Medford answered back in the home half of the sixth with an RBI fielder’s choice from Logan Macy. The Rogues scored two more times in the seventh inning with a double steal. The West Coast Kings only trailed by one after putting up a two-spot in the eighth inning. It was 7-6 Medford heading into the ninth. EJ Cord went deep for the West Coast Kings and tied the ball game at seven. Head coach Kyle Gross (who was voted GM of the 2025 PEL season) and EJ Cord were ejected from the game after the home run. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Rogues had runners at second and third.

Daniel Behrmann drove it deep to the outfield and scored Evan Saito on the sac fly to walk it off for the first time this season. Rogues are 3-2 in Pacific Empire League play and 14-5 overall on the season. Rewatch this game on our Youtube channel: Click Here
