Medford dominates rival Crabs in game one of this two game series in Medford

Medford, OR — The Medford Rogues keep their winning ways going with a 17-5 victory against their rival Humboldt Crabs. 1,249 fans saw the Rogues pick up their sixth straight win in a row. Medford got the offense moving in the home first. Jonathan Walsh led off the inning with a triple. Logan Macy drove him in on a sac fly. In the next inning, the Rogues put up a four spot in the second inning. Logan Macy went deep with a three-run homer. That was Macy’s first home run of the season. Rogues plated three more runs in the fourth inning. Macy went deep for the second time of the night. Medford put up another four spot in the sixth inning. Max Shabestari went deep for the first time Friday night. The Crabs scored all five of their runs in the seventh inning. The Rogues pitching was on fire tonight.
Dylan Fanelli got the start going six innings and struck out three. Fanelli got his second win of the season. Aden Bowman, Matty Ibrahim Jr, and Dez Ralls saw time out of the pen. This is the first win against the Crabs for second-year head coach Kevin Olmstead. Medford looks for the sweep tomorrow against Humboldt at 6:35 p.m. For the Box Score, click here
