Medford, Ore — The Rogues drop to 11-3 overall of the season after dropping the final game of the set to the California Tigers 16-5. Medford struck first in the second inning but the Tigers put up a four-spot in the third inning. The Rogues got a run across in the bottom of the inning making it a 4-2 lead for the Tigers. In the next inning, the Tigers put up a seven spot in the inning. Nate Leffell recorded a grand slam in the game. The Rogues had their own fireworks with a solo home run from Anthony Thomas Jr. It was his third home run of the season. Rogues scored three runs in the fourth. The Tigers went on to score twice in the sixth, once in the seventh, and twice in the eighth. The pitching staff for the Rogues struggled on Thursday night. Dylan Fanelli got the start, going 3.2 IP. Tyler Wilson, Aden Bowman, Preston Daniels, Lorenzo Lew, and Hayden Van Acker came out of the pen to pitch. Rogues start Pacific Empire League play on Friday, June 19 at 6:35 p.m. against the Solano Mudcats. A fireworks show will follow the game sponsored by Keller Supply.
