Prune Packers Power Past Rogues 10-4 to Take Weekend Series

Late rally sinks Rogues in Sunday loss to Prune Packers, Packers put up 12 hits and play errorless baseball

Medford, Ore —The Medford Rogues drop the weekend series against the Healdsburg Prune Packers 10-4 on Sunday afternoon in Medford. The Prune Packers and the Rogues plated two runs each in the first inning. It was tied at two until the fourth inning, when the Prune Packers’ second baseman Cade Campbell went deep to take the lead. Healdsburg followed up with two more runs in the fifth inning on a two-run single from Matthew Ossenfort.  Rogues attacked back with a two-run fifth inning. Medford only trailed by one against Healdsburg until the ninth inning. The Prune Packers put up a five-spot in the inning to put the game out of reach. The Rogues pitching staff used seven arms in the game on Sunday afternoon. Hayden Van Acker got the start, going 1.1 innings. Lorenzo Lew, Tristan Anisworth, Hayden Kindreich, Eric Hernandez, Wyatt GreenandCaleb Randolph all came out of the pen to strikeout a few batters in the Healdsburg’s line up. The pen could not hold the Prune Packers back as they tallied 12 hits and played errorless baseball. The Rogues put 6 hits on the scoreboard with one error. The Rogues are 5-4 in PEL play. Healdsburg is now 6-1 in league play. The Humboldt Crabs lead the league at 6-2.
