Medford drops game one of the series to Healdsburg to start off the road trip after a 6-hour bus ride down I-5

Healdsburg, CA — The Medford Rogues drop the first game of the road trip 5-0 to the Healdsburg Prune Packers in 99 degree heat and in front of an estimated 300 fans (no attendance listed on boxscore). The Rogues had at least a base runner on in the first four innings. The Rogue offense could not find that crucial hit. The Prune Packers struck first on a two-run double from Trevian Martinez. In the following inning, Healdsburg plated three more runs. That was the scoring for the whole entire night. Medford’s offense went backwards with 16 straight retirements. Unfortunately, the Medford Rogues broadcast on our Youtube channel could not get a clear wifi signal from Recreation Park and the Rogues set up was originally behind home plate, but the Healdsburg Community Band who plays often for the first 5 inning of the Prune Packers games, required the Rogues broadcast to move out of their spot. The Rogues broadcast was unable to set up a table in the stands to allow for a better camera angle for our fans. The broadcast will try again today to get a clearer signal and we were informed the band will not be in attendance at today’s game and will try again to get into position behind home plate. The Rogues look to get back in the win column against the Prune Packers at 6:00 p.m. at Recreation Park. BOX SCORE, click here
