Medford, OR — The Medford Rogues start the week off right with a 12-4 win against the West Coast Kings. 965 fans enjoyed the win tonight at the ballpark. The West Coast Kings plated four runs right out of the gate in the first inning. Dylan Fanelli was pulled from the game in the first. Preston Daniels came in and got the last two outs of the inning. Rogues trailed 4-0 before even going to the dish. Medford scored three times to counter. Chris Ortiz recorded an RBI double to get two runs across. Jonathan Walsh recorded an RBI single in the inning as well. The Kings went in order in the second inning. At the bottom of the second inning, the Rogues exploded for four runs in the inning. The highlight of the inning was a three-run home run from Kian Sanchez. That was his third home run of the season. Rogues plated a run in the third and sixth inning. The sixth inning saw another home run by a Rogue. Chris Ortiz went deep for the second time this season.

Rogues used a total of five arms in the win tonight. Dylan Fanelli got the start, and Preston Daniels came in relief and recorded 5.2 innings and struck out five batters. Hayden Kindreich, Logan Trivette, and Lorenzo Lew saw time out of the pen. Medford Rogues Roster, click here.

With the win on Tuesday, the Rogues have to win three more games to get to the postseason. PEL Standings: Healdsburg is 18-5, Lincoln Potters are 13-9, Medford Rogues are 12-8, Humboldt Crabs are 11-11, West Coast Kings are 17-15, Solano Mudcats are 5-17 in league play. Note: the Marysville Giants games that were scheduled were cancelled.
