Lincoln, CA — The Medford Rogues drop their third game of the road trip in California. Rogues drop game one against the Lincoln Potters 9-0 on Friday night. The Rogues in the first inning had a runner on second with Kian Sanchez, but the Rogues could not capitalize. Lincoln got the scoring going by putting up a three-spot in the second inning. Ian Guanzon got aboard with a two-run single. The Potters followed up with a four-spot in the fourth inning. The highlight of the inning was a two-run blast from Ty McGraw. Lincoln got a run across in the fifth and sixth innings. Rogues offense had base runners on but could not get any runs across in the game. This is the second time in the road trip that the Rogues have been shut out in a game. The Rogues’ pitching staff used four arms. Forest Zelmer got the start and faced 23 batters, going four innings, gave up seven runs. Zelmer struck out five batters. Dylan Fanelli pitched on inning and gave up 1 run; Aden Bowman pitcher 2 innings, striking out 2, gave up 1 run, Dez Ralls came in to the game and struck out 2 in one inning in relief. Rogues look to get back in the win column against the Potters on Saturday p.m. at 6:05 p.m. Medford is still in the hunt for the postseason in the Pacific Empire League. Box Score, click here.
The Rogues have 3 home games left in Medford on July 21-23 during Fan Appreciation. The West Coast Kings will be in town. The Kings are currently in 5th place in the PEL and the Rogues fall to 3rd place. Rogues fans are encouraged to bring their Rowdy Bucks they earned over the summer campaign to the games against the Kings. There will be raffles and prizes!
