Fairfield, CA — The Medford Rogues picked up their first road win of the 2026 season against the Solano Mudcats 6-5 at Solano College on Thursday afternoon. The team bussed from the Healdsburg Prune Packers 2-game series at Recreation Park to Fairfield to pick up one game against their Pacific Empire League opponents the Solano Mudcats. The Rogues out of the gate got the scoring going with a sacrifice fly from Mr. Reliable and catcher Chris Ortiz (batting .371 in 30 games) who drove in Logan Macy for the first run of the afternoon.

That was the first time that the Rogues had a lead on the road this season. Solano tied up the game in the home first on a passed ball that drove in Joaquin Stuart. In the second inning Medford answered back with an RBI single from Aussie Travis Finney that drove in Quinton Olson. In the third inning, The Rogues 3B Kian Sanchez (batting .333 in 27 games) went deep to make it a 3-1 lead for the Rogues. It was Sanchez’s second home run of the season. Rogues got a run across in the fourth inning. Solano got their first two runs across on a two-run double from Joseph Torres.  The Mudcats got a run across from Derek Bartram in the fifth. That made it a 4-3 game.  It was the same score until the seventh inning when Jackson Rosenthal laid a bunt down and scored two runs.   Solano scored a run in the ninth inning but the Rogues held on to beat the Mudcats. The Rogues’ pitching staff used five arms in the win. Wyatt Green got the start going 3.1 IP. Jaden Neugebauer was called out of the pen but only lasted one inning. Eric “Rick” Hernandez got the ball next and handled the adversity, getting out of a bases-loaded jam in the fifth inning. Caleb Randolph and Josh Rodriguez saw time out of the pen as well. The Rogues are back in action tonight against the Lincoln Potters at 7:05 p.m. Game Box Score, click here.
