MEDFORD, Ore. – The Medford Rogues (20-8) defeated the Marysville Gold Sox (9-19) 6-2 on Thursday night at Harry & David Field.

 

Alex Isola (Utah) went 2-3, including a go-ahead three-run home run in the fifth inning, scoring Davis Delorefice (Utah) and Jayden Hanna (Lane CC). Isola has three home runs on the year.

 

Delorefice went 1-3 with a run scored. He made an excellent play in the field in the fifth inning on a ground ball hit to his right to turn the double play.

 

Clay Valenzuela-Reece (Campbellsville) went 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

 

Starting pitcher Cole Percival (UC Riverside) went 7 innings, and struck out six while giving up just two earned runs. He blanked the Gold Sox after giving up a two-run home run to Brock Ephan in the first inning.

 

Aaron Hutchinson (Lane CC) and Taylor Frost (Southern Idaho) combined for two scoreless innings to finish the game.
