
Medford opens up the weekend with a win against Fresno

Medford, Ore – The Medford Rogues open up the weekend series against the Fresno A’s with a 6-3 win on Friday night. The Rogues got the scoring going by putting up a three-spot in the third inning. Jaden Neugebauer drove in the first run of the game. The A’s scored a run in the fourth inning, but the Rogues tacked on another run in the bottom of that inning with an RBI single from Jaden Neugebauer. The score stayed the same in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings. Fresno recorded a two-run homer from Grant Kinsel to make it a 4-3 lead in the eighth. In the bottom of that inning, the Rogues scored two more runs to make it a 6-3 lead from Will Salihar and Jaden Neugebauer. Caleb Randolph got the nod to close out the game and recorded his third save of the season. Forest Zelmer got the start for the Rogues, going 5.0 innings, recording four strikeouts. Preston Daniels and Hayden Kindreich came out of the pen and combined for three strikeouts. Medford looks for the series win tomorrow night at 6:35 p.m. It is Paint the Park Pink Night to bring awareness breast cancer. Player worn PINK jerseys will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
